Drug peddler held with poppy straw in Qazigund | KNO

Continuing its campaign “War on Drugs” against drug menace, Police Kulgam during random checking under the supervision of SHO Qazigund Sahil Mahajan (DySP prob) recovered 04 killograms of poppy straw (Fuki) from the possession of one Mohammad Amin Lone son of late Ghulam Nabi Lone resident of Kreeri Dooru who was travelling in Tavera vehicle bearing registration No. JK03-7929. Case FIR No. 285/2017 under section 8/15 NDPS Act was registered in P/S Qazigund and investigation was set into motion. It is pertinent to mention here that people of the district are cooperating with Police in ongoing campaign against drug menace due to which Police Kulgam have been successful to control transportation of illicit drugs by drug peddlers. SP Kulgam, Shridhar Patil thanked people for extending their cooperation for better cause. He further requested people of the district to extend more support in order to eradicate the drug menace from root to ensure crime free society.
