A fresh recruited militant of Hizbul Mujahideen outfit was arrested on Tuesday in Tral sub district of South Kashmir.
DIG South Kashmir Swayam Prakash Pani in press statement said that, a joint team of Police’s Special Operation Group (SOG) and CRPF, following a tip off raided in one of the Tral areas and apprehended a local militant.
He said that, a militant was identified as Arizoo Bashir Najar, resident of Mandoora village in Tral.
Arizoo, according to sources , had gone missing on 20 September last month and later his pictures were surfaced on some sections of social media with holding an AK-47 rifle.
Police further said, Arizoo had been arrested in January this year and remained behind bars for almost five months before released on bail.
“His arrest helped us to know about the recent attacks and also his involvement in different millitancy related activities in Tral” DIG said.
