In first of its kind civil society Sopore organised oath ceremony for its newly elected president at Guru Hospital Sopore on Saturday.
On the occasion Mohammad Akbar Ganie took oath as a president while Zaffar Ahmad Bhat took oath as General Secretary.
The function was attended some prominent citizens of town including Civil Society members,Traders Federation President Haji Mohammad Ashraf Ganai , Aijaz Masoodi Chairman of Neither Field School,Mr Aniyatullah Hajni Chairman SRM Sopore ,Gh Nabi Qabli NGO Dawn, Advocate Imtiyaz Ahmad Mir Chairman Kashmir Mercantile Bank , Ab Majeed Dar, MD Kashmir Mercantile Bank, Hashmitullah Qazi, Ashiq Hussian Zaki, President Football Association Sopore Noor Mohammad were present on the occasion.
During the day long function speakers threw light on various issues of town including Garbage, Traffic Mess , Street Lights, Illegal Street Vendors etc.
Meanwhile Chairman of Civil Society Sopore Mohammad Akbar Ganie on the occasion said that the Muncipal Council Sopore's neglect attitude suffers public lot, he said that years on town without Garbage dumping site.
Ashraf said that it is responsibility of all to work together for the greater Sopore and to make Sopore Green town.
