Article 35A : SC unlikely to hear the petition today | KNO

The Supreme Court is unlikely to hear the petitions challenging the validity of Article 35A unless the bench takes it on a priority basis. According to the sources, hearing of petitions on Article 35 A is listed at Serial No 59 while as at 3:31 pm the apex court was hearing serial number 46. The case was supposed to be heard at 3:30 pm today. However, the supreme court could not finish the pending cases in time. The Supreme Court closes at 5:00 pm in the evening and that gives an hour to finish other cases listed in the Supreme Court. Sources said that the next date for the hearing of the petition challenging article 35A is in the month of June, 2018.
