Jammu Muslim Front (JMF) today appealed Government to keep check on the trouble makers in Jammu, while remembering martyrs of horrible 1947 massacre of Jammu Muslims. Front leaders prayed for the peace of souls of Jammu Muslims, Hindus and Sikh communities who lost their lives in the horrifying massacre in 1947 when India and Pakistan – two nations were created. “It was the darkest day of world history when lakhs of innocent women, children, and men were brutally killed during the partition,” said Shuja Zaffar, chairman, Jammu Muslim Front, while speaking before the media persons. Zaffar said “We must ensure peace in Jammu and Kashmir for the welfare of the humans at large. Especially Jammu has become a hot bed of such communal groups and they are allegedly trying to create an atmosphere where several rallies with arms and swords were also taken up.” He said that Government should keep eye on the trouble makers so that the peace could not be disturbed at any cost. “Any attempt to disturb peace should be dealt with iron hands,” he said.
