Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary said, following a specific information about transportation of drugs, a checkpoint was established at Sangram Bhata by SHO Kishtwar Inspector Sameer Jillani under the supervision of Dy. SP Headquarters Nihar Ranjan.“The drug peddler identified as Iqbal Khanday S/O Ghulam Mohammad Khanday R/O Loi Dhar Chhatroo, was immediately taken into custody”. He said during the checking of the person police has recovered 700 grams of Charas from him and Police has registered case FIR No 226/2017 under section 8/20 NDPS Act and initiated investigations.
