Dineshwar Sharma, the former Intelligence Bureau chief and government interlocutor for Jammu and Kashmir, has started a “sustained dialogue” on Monday who is on five days visit to Jammu and Kashmir likely to visit Jammu today to meet cross sections of people to gather opinion for the sustained dialogue , but the atmosphere on the ground is not very optimistic. Dineshawar Sharma met former Jammu and Kashmir chief Minister and vice president of National Conference Omar Abdullah at his residence in Srinagar this morning and discussed the prevailing situation in the state as also discussed steps that can be taken to make his visits to the state more meaningful. Omar wrote in a tweet. The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Mohammad Yasin Malik have already rejected talks with interlocutor appointed by Government of India (GoI) terming the appointment as “nothing more than a tactic to buy time” by New Delhi.
