Minister for Education meets Governor | KNO

Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, Minister for Education, called on Governor N.N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today. Sh. Bukhari discussed with the Governor the various initiatives taken by the School Education Department which are presently under implementation for promoting the academic interests of the students. Governor discussed with Sh. Bukhari the time-bound measures required to be taken to fill the enormous gaps in infrastructural facilities which are required in all the government schools in the State and, side by side the steps which must be taken to provide adequate sports and other facilities to the school students to enable their healthy and wholesome development and assured career advancement. Governor emphasized the vital responsibility of the Education Department to provide quality educational facilities for students at all levels, as only such advancement could promote the future growth and development of the State. Governor complimented Sh. Bukhari for drawing up an Action Plan for remedying the serious deficiencies existing in the educational system and appreciated the success of his efforts to see 10,000 school children visit various parts of India under an exchange programme.
