Geelani while referring to atheists, said that it is unfortunate that even in Muslim countries the ideology is being promoted and as such those following Islam feel insecure. Geelani said that these secularist and evil forces are inflicting brutalities on Ikhwan-ul -Muslimoon in Egypt and killing and sending them to gallows. These forces are trampling all human values, they destroyed Nagasaki and Hiroshima, added Geelani. Blaming these evil forces, Geelani in his address said ,that they created mayhem in Iraq, Afghanistan and other Muslim countries and are carrying carried bloodshed killing innocents. Geelani while referring to situations in Jammu Kashmir, said that New Delhi is involved in mass massacre and added that State of Jammu and Kashmir was never a part of India. Commenting over the population percentage, Geelani said Muslim were 85 percent and all its borders were adjacent to Pakistan and India had no claims as per its specific identity and partition plan. However, India with its military might invaded and in November 1947 and more than five lakh Muslims were brutally massacred in state, added Geelani. Instead of any initiating any trial against brutal forces for their wrongdoings and killing innocents, they are being awarded and rewarded, said Geelani, Syed Ali Geelani asked youth to follow holy Quran and make through study of Iqbal’s literary work as his poetry infuses inspiration and teaches brotherhood and self-realization and added his ideas are panacea for all the ills and rallying point for the development of a sense of unity and oneness. Speaking on the occasion Mohamad Yasin Malik while paying tributes to great poet said, that Dr Iqbal was a Muslim philosophical thinker of modern times and through his literary work he inspired a universal thought among Muslim ummah, however it is very unfortunate that we are divided on sectarian lines, added Malik. He said that our religious authorities instead of spreading the message of oneness, unification, solidarity, promoted their respective school of thought and hence we are divided and sub-dived in smaller groups and lost our identity as Muslim. Referring to the prevailing horrendous situation in state and extreme brutalities inflicted by Indian authorities, Malik said that authorities want to break our resolve but we will never surrender or budge to the pressure tactics. Every household and family presented laudable sacrifices and are facing immense hardships and miseries, Malik added. Brutal authorities are showering pellets, bullets, killing and caging our youth, said Malik and while referring to coercive measures of Indian authorities, Malik said that when “we refused to surrender, our families and relatives were arrested.” We have decided to carry this freedom struggle despite all their bullying and state terrorism, added Malik and laid stress on unity within resistance camp and people, saying that we are committed to make this unity more practicable and strong. Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai in his address said that his teaching inspires freedom spirits and added that while reading his literary work we find that Iqbal opted for resistance and described his concept of man hood as dynamic and his poetry as poetry of inspiration, brotherhood and self-realization. He asked authorities in Pakistan to make country a real Islamic and welfare state.(KNO)
