Newly elected KAS Officers Association takes over | KNO

JAMMU, NOVEMBER 11 (KNO) : The newly elected body of Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (KAS) Officers Association formally took over the charge of the Association here today. The meeting was attended by the newly elected President Tassaduq Hussain Mir, Vice-President Anil Sharma, General Secretary Mohammad Shahid Saleem, Publicity Secretary Waseem Raja, Treasurer Rohit Sharma, elected councilors and other KAS officers. The meeting was also attended by the President of Junior KAS Officers Association as special invitee. Tassaduq Hussain Mir, while thanking the KAS cadre for their overwhelming support during elections and reposing faith in him, said that the prime responsibility of this association would be to redress the issues of the KAS fraternity. He said the Association will soon prepare a charter of demands and submit it to the higher authorities including the Chief Minister and Chief Secretary. He urged the officers for their support and close coordination so that all issues would be redressed in a time bound manner. He assured the KAS cadre that the Association will work hard for the betterment of KAS fraternity. Vice President, General Secretary and other office bearers also spoke on the occasion and thanked the KAS fraternity for reposing their faith in getting them elected. The KAS officers present on the occasion also welcomed the elected members and assured their support to the Association. They also gave valuable suggestions for further strengthening the unity and coordination among all the members. The KAS officers present in the meeting stressed upon the Association to take up the burning issues like career progression, posting of non cadre officers against cadre posts and other issues forcefully with the government.(KNO)
