Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman and Tehreek-e Hurriyat (the) chief Syed Ali Geelani on Wednesday said that struggle of Kashmiris will “continue till they are given their basic right of self determination”.

In his telephonic address ahead of joint resistance leadership presser in Srinagar, the incarcerated leader said, “Kashmir valley particularly south Kashmir districts are facing worst onslaught and oppression at the hands of government forces.” The octogenarian leader demanded that “Operation All-Out” should immediately stop and all those Kashmiris who have been arrested by the Government forces should be freed. Geelani addressed a gathering inside Jamia Masjid Abi Guzar in Srinagar, the summer capital of the state, through cell phone. “Till the military occupation of J&K does not end, our fight for basic right shall continue,” Geelani vowed. Hurriyat (M) chairman, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and JKLF chief Yasin Malik also addressed the gathering ahead of Zuhar prayers. Malik said that the resistance leaders are suffering like never before, and most of the leaders have been lodged in jails. “We will march from here to Lal Chowk and we will sit on the road” Malik announced.
