LUCKNOW: While campaigning for his wife, a BJP leader from Barabanki has threatened the members of the minority community to vote for the party or face difficulty.
Holding a rally at a ground in Satyapremi Nagar locality in the neighbouring district on Thursday, Ranjeet Srivastava said that Muslims should vote for his wife Shashi and other BJP candidates in the upcoming civic polls.
"You have nowhere else to go, government servants, including DM and SP will not pay heed to your complaints since SP regime is over," said Ranjeet while campaigning for his wife.
Sitting President of Barabanki Nagar Palika Parishad, Ranjeet's wife Shashi is contesting the civic polls. No FIR had been lodged against him so far.
