Govt announces winter vacations from December 3 | KNO

It said the last working day for classes up to class 8th will be December 2 while as vacations for high and higher secondary classes will be observed from December 11 to February 24, 2018.

The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday announced winter vacations for all schools in Kashmir division and winter zones of Jammu division. As per the order issued by the school education department, winter vacations from primary to class 8th will start from December 3 while as for High and Higher Secondary classes winter vacations will start from December 10. It said the last working day for classes up to class 8th will be December 2 while as vacations for high and higher secondary classes will be observed from December 11 to February 24, 2018. "The winter vacations for primary to class 8th will end on March 03 2018," the government order reads. It further reads that officials associated with conduct of practical examination, if any shall avail winter vacations only after conclusion of practical exams. "No school will be allowed to function during winter vacation period. Any violation in this regard will result to strict action against the school as per law," said the order. The vacations for all classes will end on February 28, 2017.
