Kishtwar (KNO) : its continuous stride against the nefarious designs of Anti national elements Kishtwar Police has busted a hideout in Chatroo sector and recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition. Senior Superintendent of Police Kishtwar Abrar Chowdhary while divulging the details said that on a specific information developed by Police, Kishtwar Police along with 11 RR Army has busted a hideout of the terrorists in the Naidgam area of Chatroo. The Police parties led by SHO Police Station Chatroo Inspector Bashir Ahmed and army troops led by Major Solanki of 11 RR conducted a joint operation in Naidgam hills and busted a hideout of terrorists
The operation parties recovered a huge consignment of arms and ammunition including 02 Chinese Pistols, 02 magazines of Chinese Pistol along with 05 rounds, one 303 rifle along with 01 magazine and 10 cartridges, one UBGL Launcher and five UGBL grenades. The Police has registered case FIR No. 83/2017 u/s 121,122 RPC and 7/25 Indian Arms Act in Police Station Chatroo. The investigation of the case has been started and police is expecting more recoveries. It may be mentioned that during the past especially in the thick militancy days the terrorists used to loot the weapon from the Police guards or police pickets. Police is suspecting the recovery of 303 rifle and its ammunition as one of those looted weapons, said the SSP (KNO)
