Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah while paying tributes to six slain militants in Hajin, Bandipora said “it is the prayers of freedom fighters answered by Allah (SWT).”
“For India, this might seem no more than a little accomplishment on the heavy price of its soldiers but for Kashmir, such sacrifices will bring glad tidings to the freedom struggle which Indian forces would never have imagined,” a spokesperson of the outfit Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi quoted Shah as saying in a statement issued.
“The martyrs belonged to the Bashir Lashkari Squad,” the spokesperson said, adding, “India will soon have to pay the price for its actions against the indigenous freedom struggle. Such sacrifices will not go in vain. The mujahideen will take revenge,” LeT chief was quoted by spokesperson as saying.
Mehmood Shah expressed gratitude to Kashmiris and prayed for their safety, the statement said. “Their (Kashmiris’) unmatched love, sympathies and harmony with mujahideen is priceless,” he said.
