Tral: Adil Rashid Chopan, the militant who was killed today in gun fight with government forces at Gulshanpora Gujar Basti forest area of Tral town had managed to flee from an encounter site in May 20 this year, when top militant commander Sabzar Ahmed Bhat and his close aide Faizan Ahmed were killed at Saimoh village of the town. Adil Rashid, a resident of Larow village of Tral town of Puwama in South Kashmir was a teenager who had suffered injuries in Saimoh encounter but managed to flee from the encounter spot after people rushed to help him escape.
The video’s and photographs people flocking around him after the encounter had gone viral and were widely shared by netizens. Reports said Adil was killed today when a group of militants fired upon a patrolling party in Gulshanpora Gujar Basti. The fire was retaliated and he was killed.
