Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) on Tuesday said that after the return of a youth Majid Khan to his home at his mother’s request, Indian forces are “compelling” the family members of other militants to follow the suit. In a statement issued here, LeT chief Mehmood Shah also declared that “from now on, no freedom fighter will ever return back like Majid. “We clarify to India that the indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmir stands firmly on the grounds of sacrifices,” said LeT spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi quoted Shah as saying in a statement issued to GNS. “Our elders, brothers, mothers, sisters, daughters, and children have invested their blood in the freedom struggle.” He said the incident of Shafi Gojri is enough for New Delhi to accept the “bitter reality” that “even though Indian forces forcefully called his wife and children at encounter-site, Shafi preferred martyrdom over slavery”. “We are very well aware of our domestic issues and Indian conspiracies. This is an indigenous freedom struggle of Kashmir,” Shah said. He added, “Our mothers are neither afraid of Indian threats nor will they call upon their sons to get back to their homes. They are the mothers who consider their martyrs as grooms. From now on, no freedom fighter will ever return his home. It is Indian forces who have to quit. They must vacate Kashmir.” “It is the defeat of Indian establishment and their vicious plans that instead of fighting on grounds they chose to make plea to the mothers of the nation. Indian plans will bite dust eventually,” LeT chief said.
