Rajouri : Students refuse to stand for national anthem, authorities register case | KNO

After some students at the Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGBSU) in Rajouri refused to stand during the National Anthem, the authorities have taken the note of the issue and registered a case against the students. The incident took place during a valedictory function of the Silver Rolling Trophy. Jammu and Kashmir Governor NN Vohra, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, SSP Rajouri and Vice-Chancellor of the University were among dignitaries present on the occasion. “We have taken cognizance of incident related to disrespect of National Anthem. Report sought from University,” Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Shahid Chaudhary wrote on Twitter. He said that Law will take its course and FIR No. 519/2017 has been lodged in National Anthem disrespect case. He further said that disciplinary action against the students will follow.
