Recruitment drive under National Career Project held at Pulwama | KNO

PULWAMA, NOVEMBER 23 (KNO) : Under National Career Project, one-day special Employment Fair-Cum-Recruitment Drive- was organized at District Employment and Counseling Center, Pulwama district, in which more than 25 corporate firms from various sectors including Finance, Tourism, Human Resource, Construction, Automation and Information Technology & IT Enabled Services will be scouting for fresh talent from the district. The Job Fair was inaugurated by MLA Pulwama Mohammad Khaleel Band along with District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar. Later on, they inspected various stalls set up by the various departments and financial institutions. All the line departments and sponsoring agencies bankers participated in the Fair. The main motive of the camp was to aware the youth of various sponsorship schemes for budding entrepreneurs. The major Corporate Companies which participated for on spot recruitment drive and interviews for educated unemployed youth of the district Pulwama include Appollo Med Skills, Surya wires, Multicare Services, Manpower, Future group, PNB Metlife, LIC, SBI Life, CHS, Rooman, MTC, Fidelis, Quess Corporation, etc. During the drive around 600 Youth including 12th pass, Graduates, Postgraduates and three-year engineering diploma holders who were eligible to participate in the said recruitment drive were registered till 3:00 PM. It was given out that selected youth will be trained outside the state for minimum three months, during which free accommodation, food, travelling charges and a stipend of Rs 2500 per month would be provided. MLA Pulwama and District Development Commissioner Pulwama also visited venue and interacted with various candidates, especially girls, appearing for the interviews. Both laid special emphasis on placement of girls in the corporate world and expressed satisfaction over the conduct of drive and asked the organizers to hold such drives in the district in future as well. Speaking on the occasion MLA Pulwama Mohammad Khaleel Band said that this Job Fair will benefit the students of District where they can have multiple job options to choose for their employment. He urged upon all the stakeholders and implementing agencies to provide information and counselling to youth of the district. He said that the educated youth should come forward and take benefits of the schemes and programmes. Speaking on the occasion, District Development Commissioner, Pulwama, Ghulam Mohammad Dar said that the main motive of the fair is to enhance employment opportunities for the youth of the district. He termed the employment fair as a platform for youth to get more and more exposure at the national level. DDC further said that National Career Project provides a host of career-related services such as dynamic job matching, career counselling, job notifications, vocational guidance, information on skill development courses, internships and alike.
