Official sources said that the body of the soldier, was found by the locals and accordingly informed the police. The police recovered the body soon after information that the army man was lying in pool of blood inside Wothmula Nad area of Keegam, they said. SSP Shopian Ambarkar Shriram told news agency GNS while confirming the incident identified the deceased as Irfan Dar s/o Ghulam Mohd Dar r/o Sanzan village. “He was perhaps kidnapped by militants. His bullet-riddled body was recovered today morning,” he said, adding that the soldier was posted in Gurez.
