Srinagar Maqbool Manzil 25th November 2017 (KNO) : Father of true journalism in Kashmir Khawaja Sanaullah Bhat Aftab and legend Sofi Ghulam Muhammad of Srinagar times were shining stars of our journalistic history. They were historical personalities whose social and literary works will always be written in Golden words .This was stated by the chairman JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik while remembering Khawaja Sahib and Sofi sahib on their death anniversary. Addressing a condolence meeting at JKLF headquarters held in memory of these stalwarts, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, said that these people represent the glorious page of our history and their social works should always be remembered. JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik while recalling his close association with Khawaja sahib said that he was like a fatherly person to him and always remained at his back in odd times. JKLF chairman said that Khawaja Sanaullah Butt was a brave, fearless, and straight forward person, a dynamic and fearless writer and patriot. He always wrote what he thought was right and fruitful for the society. He never wrote to please anybody or for getting any personal benefits. Yasin Malik said that Khawja Sahib loved Allah and his heart was full of love for Prophet Muhammad (SAW). He said that he encouraged and taught the new generation of Kashmiris, provided them knowledge and educated them to serve society. This is his biggest contribution to this oppressed nation and today while we observe his day and remember him, we need to introspect and try to adhere to the high principles and standards set by the great intellectual and saint. While recalling the great personality of Jenab Sofi Ghulam Muhammad of Srinagar times, JKLF chairman said he was a writer who had courage to stand for the truth in worst situations. He said that a person who serves his people and leaves better legacy for them is always remembered by nations and Sofi sahib was such a person. Yasin Sahib also prayed for the heavenly abode for Khawaja sahib and Sofi sahib and prayed to Allah almighty for their heavenly abode.
Meanwhile JKLF chairman has paid rich tributes to veteran businessman and well-wisher Haji Ghulam Nabi Nadaf @Abba who left for heavenly abode yesterday. JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik along with a delegation visited the residence of the deceased and expressed solidarity with his bereaved family. JKLF chairman while praying for the heavenly abode of the deceased, also prayed for the patience to his bereaved family (KNO)
