Nov 25 (KNO) : 16 year old zahid 11th class student a teenager from Zonimar area in Srinagar was brought to SMHS hospital friday evening with severe pellet injuries in his abdomen.Zahid was found unconscious by two scooter-borne youth at Nawa Kadal. They brought him to the hospital,” The 16-year-old boy, Zahid Ahmad, was operated on immediately and doctors said that hundreds of pellets had pierced his right abdomen region.

Doctors removed his Right Kidney, Gall Bladder and some part of liver and lungs that was damaged totally. “Pellets have been fired probably from point-blank range,” Zahid’s family told Kashmir News Observer that security forces fired at him at Nawa Kadal and left him there. “They targeted him when he was returning from an examination center,” they said. Zahid had gone to appear in an exam of ‘Economics and Entrepreneurship’ subject and was returning from the exam center when the government forces wounded him. Family seeks the probe and proper investigation, demand justice and punish the culprits.(KNO)
