JAMMU & KASHMIR Well Known educationist Mumtaz Begum Wani passes away in Doda | KNO BY || MOHD MAJID MALIK | KNO Published 333 weeks ago on November 25, 2017 By KashmirNewsObserver DODA,25 (KNO) : Renowned literary figure Mumtaz Begum Wani w/o Ghulam Qadir Wani former MLA , resident of Gath , Doda district passed away at the age of 77 after a prolonged illness.Begum was a well known in the literary circles as a good teacher and scholarly figure whose services as a teacher can never be forgotten. She was proficient in English, Urdu, Persian and Kashmiri as well. She had two sons who are also well known persons in Doda .Many political and social organisations included MLA Doda Shakti Raj Parihar have expressed deep shock over the sad demise of Mumta Begum Wani and expressed their heart full condolences to bereaved family .
