Shaheed-e-Milat T-20 Cricket Tournament: Two thrilling matches were played on Sunday | KNO

Srinagar, Nov 26 (KNO) : Amid huge rush of Cricket fans at Islamia College, Old City Srinagar two matches of ongoing Shaheed-e-Milat T-20 Cricket Tournament Cricket Tournament were played on Sunday between Star Achievers v/s FCC Hawal and Baba Adam XI v/s FCC Barzulla respectively. Today the organizers have invited a group of journalists as the guest of honors to distribute the prizes. The first match of the day was won by FCC Hawal after successfully chasing the target of 136 runs set by Star Achievers. Tanzeer Ahmad of FCC Hawal was adjudged Man of the Match for his outstanding knock of 54 runs in just 45 balls. Kashmir based journalists including Bilal Bashir Bhat, Farzana Mumtaz, Mushtaq Ul Haq Sikandar, Nasir Azam, Khurshid Qureshi, Shaikh Umar and others presented the trophies among the winning sportsmen. The second match of the day was played between Baba Adam XI and FCC Barzulla. Winning the toss and batting first managed to score 158 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Baba Adam XI achieved the target easily by just losing 4 wickets. Tariq Ahmad turned hero of the match by smashing unbeaten 81 runs in just 58 balls. He was adjudged Man of the Match for his flamboyant inning. Besides others, senior members of the organizing committee S. Manzoor, Irshad Ahmad Bhat, Aqib Ahmad Sarfaraz Sheikh, Shareef Misgar, Mukhtar Aga and Sumair Peer were also present at the closing ceremony of the day (KNO)
