05 gamblers arrested by Srinagar police | KNO

Srinagar, November 26 (KN0) : Srinagar police arrested five gamblers while gambling in SanatNagar area and recovered stake money of rupees 10,300 from their possession. Acting on an information, Srinagar police raided a gambling site at Sannat Nagar area and arrested five persons who were identified as Saleem Khan resident of Chanapora, Muzzamil Bashir resident of Jawahar Nagar, Shabir Ahmad resident of Rambagh, Aijaz Ahmad resident of Rawalpora and Showkat Ahmad resident of Rambagh from the gambling spot. A stake money of rupees 10300/- and playing cards were recovered from their possession. A case FIR number 227/17 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered in Police Station Sadder registered and investigation was taken up.(KNO)
