Jammu Nov- 30 (KNO) : Following continuing reach out at grass root the decision of withdrawal of cases arising out of 2016 unrest against thousands of youth is another significant measure to restore peace in the state and initiate purposeful engagement for a promising future. Addressing senior party workers at Jammu senior Vice President of Peoples Democratic Party Sartaj Madni said Chief Minister’s ardent desire to see Jammu and Kashmir out of prolonged uncertainty is becoming more manifest now than the adverse propaganda unleashed by her adversaries . He said that a spell of unease was stressful for Government and higly painful for Mehboobaji . The situation that erupted in 2016 also marred the discourse of reconciliation ‘ dialogue and development. IUnfortunatel , many from the opposition rushed to conclusions and started questioning Party’s integrity . However , the flimsy and false propaganda is now melting under the sincere and people-friendly measures being taken one after another. The untruth will soon be nailed down through sustainable positive discourse . PDP will come up to expectations of people and will b e vindicated , he added. Madani said youth of the state have an ownership and PDP has always seen this vital component of society as the potential force to anchor the prosperous future for the state. PDP wishes that they donot become victims of vicious circumstances and loose their potential in wilderness. That is why Mehboobaji is keen to offer adequate space to them and wants them to be the be partners of growth than tools for disruption. He pointed out that Withdrawal of cases against youth ‘ mostly involved in stone-pelting is part of this notion and commitment and should be seen as strength of conviction than any appeasement. Madani put the whole exercise in a perspective and said before taking over as CM , Mehboobaji took three months to seek further assurances from Union Government and BJP on typically sensitive issues facing Jammu and Kashmir state. Even in deepest crisis she pursued her goal to bring stability followed by measures towards resolution of these issues. She did not confine herself to get economic assistance and project development as answer to public dissatisfaction and unrest. It is her vision tand priority to have political issues involving sentiment and societal uniqueness , resolved amicably. . She is persistent in her ambition to fulfill all her commitments. Madani said people have started appreciating the value of a confident coalition engaged in steady exercise to create more conducive atmosphere for fair-play , justice and reconciliation through dialogue. Agenda of Alliance forms the basis in this direction and four-point formula envisaged therein will culminate into a healthy change sooner than later. He said Centre’s recent move to create an institution of Dialogue by appointing Dineshwar Sharma as an authorized representative is yielding results. Kashmir situation has come in proper focus and relief related decision making has become easier. The process will expand further with support as against unfounded cynicism , he said. He made an appeal to all to cooperate and strengthen moves towards peace so that a time arrives where India and Pakistan also will realize the value of friendship and mutual understanding and the entire sub-continent will usher into a sustainable era of peace and development .
