CM, GOV pays tributes to late Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his birth anniversary | KNO

SRINAGAR, December 04 (KNO) : Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has paid rich tributes to former Chief Minister, Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his 112th birth anniversary being observed on December 5. In her message, the Chief Minister described late Sheikh Abdullah as a visionary leader who would always be remembered for taking many revolutionary steps including introduction of land reforms and Single Line Administration in the State. Mehbooba Mufti also prayed for eternal solace to the late leader.(KNO) JAMMU, DECEMBER 04 (KNO) : Governor N.N. Vohra has paid rich tribute to Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on his birth anniversary and recalled his significant contribution to the development of Jammu and Kashmir. In his message, the Governor observed that Sheikh Sahib was a popular leader and a social reformer who fought for the rights of the oppressed sections of the society, irrespective of caste, creed or religion and strived for the sustenance of secular and pluralistic values. The Governor said that a sustained endeavour towards strengthening of our democratic institutions and maintenance of communal harmony and brotherhood would be a befitting tribute to Sheikh Sahib.(KNO)
