Two more boys shun militancy, return home in Kashmir : DGP | KNO

Two more boys, who had joined militants, have returned home after appeals from their families in the Kashmir valley, where a number of other youths have shunned the path of militancy. Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid said on Tuesday that two more boys have returned home after they joined militancy. Taking to micro-blogging site twitter, Dr Vaid said, “Two more boys shunned the path of violence and returned home who went astray and joined the ranks of militants Welcome back home”. Shunning the path of militancy and joining mainstream started after footballer-turned militant Majid Khan returned home following appeals by his parents, relatives, friends and others through social media. Meanwhile,In a major success for counter-militancy operation, three militants who were involved in Amarnath Yatra attack, were killed by security forces. “With the killing of Abu Ismail earlier & now these three Abu Mavia , Furkan & Yawar group that attacked Amarnath Yatries is wiped out,” Director General of Police (DGP) of Jammu & Kashmir Shesh Paul Vaid tweeted. He also said, “Body of third militant Yawar a local was also recovered from encounter site and 4th militant caught alive in injured condition. Well done boys.
