Srinagar December 05 (KNO) : Demanding immediate and unconditional release of all prisoners, Hurriyat conference blamed PDP led administration for unnecessarily prolonging their detention period. Accusing PDP for playing deceitful politics, Huriyat said that hypocrisy and treachery is the trait of PDP. Lashing at PDP, Hurriyat said that this party is the creation of agencies and its rhetoric for battle of ideas stand exposed and added that they should realize this fact that pellets, bullets and Safety Act now stand sign and symbolic for their treacherous politics. Since the inception of PDP, they are following dictates from Nagpur and there seems no let-up in pellets and bullets, said Hurriyat and added that though pellet gun and chemical weapons are specifically used against wild animals, however PDP in order to remain in power corridors and appease their masters, used these weapons against innocent and unarmed civilians. Their rhetoric for battle of ideas, is nothing but hoax, said Hurriyat and instead caged people and strangulated their genuine voices. Slapping PSA against its opponents and youth is its favourite game, said Hurriyat and added that PDP puppets of Nagpur have crossed all limits and turned valley into a graveyard. Hurriyat expressed its deep concern over the deteriorating condition of prisoners, saying they are being subjected to political vendetta and no proper medical treatment is provided to ailing detainees. Hurriyat conference while referring to Dr. Ghulam Muhammad Bhat, Altaf Ahmed Shah, Pir Saifullah, Ayaz Akbar, Raja Meraj u Din , Nayem Ahmed Khan, Shahid-ul-Islam, Farooq Ahmed Dar, Shahid Yusuf, Dr. Muhammad Qassim, Dr. Mohammad Shafi Shariati , Ghulam Qadir Bhat, Sheikh Farooq Ahmed, Asiya Andrabi, Ghulam Mohammad Khan Sopori, Mohammad Rustam Bhat Amir Hamza Shah, Mir Hafeez u ullah, Mohammad Yousaf Falahi, Raies Ahmad Mir, Fehmeda Sofi, Mohammad Yusuf Mir, Danish Malik, Abdul Ahad Parey, Abdul Shaban Wani, Master Ali Muhammad, Mohammad Yousuf Lone, Abdul Ghani Bhat, Nasir Abdullah, Shah Wali Mohammad, Ghulam Mohammad Tantrey, Mohammad Shaban Khan, Mohammad Rafiq Ganai, Shakil Ahmad Boya, Sheikh Mohammad Ramzan, Bashir Ahmad Sofi, Shakeel Ahmed Yatoo, Mushtaq Ahmed Hura, Showkat Ahmad Hakim, Mohammad Yousuf Bhat Muhammad Amin Ahangar Abdul Hameed Parey , Qazi-ul-Islam, Sarjan Barkati, Ghulam Hassan Shah, Haji Ghulam Mohammad , Salman Yousuf, Mufti Abdul Ahad, Ghulam Hassan Shah, Hakim ur Rehman, Manzoor Ahmad Kaloo, Ghulam Mohammad Tantrey Pervez Ahmed Kaloo, Abdul Khaleq Regu, Abdul Aziz Ganai Ghulam Hasan Malik, Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Mushtaq Ahmed Mir, Mohammad Ashraf Begh, Mohammad Ramzan Mir, Siraj u Din, Mohammad Sidiq, Safeer Ahmad Lone, Showkat Ahmad Dar, Javed Ahmed Fuley, Nazir Ahmad Manto, Mufti Nadim, Mohammad Amin Dar, Imtiyaz Ahmed and Bashir Ahmad Sofi And Shariq Maqbool Gaane said that during people’s uprising in 2016, state authorities arrested thousands while as PSA was slapped against six hundred,” the statement claimed. “More than 300 activists are still languishing in different detention centres and police lockups,’’ said Huriyat. The statement said that people bailed out by the courts are not being released. “On one or the other pretext their detention period is prolonged and those bailed out by judiciary are rearrested by police and detained again on fictitious charges and PSA slapped on them. World community has declared public safety act as black law, said Hurriyat and added that people and political activists are being subjected to vengeance, saying it has turned situations in state volatile and extremely explosive. Appealing international organizations including United Nations Human Rights Commission, Asia watch and Amnesty International for their cognizance, APHC stressed to take notice of the inhuman and hostile treatment meted out to detainees lodged in different jails and stressed to take serious notice about indiscriminate use of infamous Public Safety Act against innocent Kashmiri prisoners.(KNO)
