JAMMU, DECEMBER 06 (KNO) : As a follow up of her Public outreach programmes at Bandipora and Ganderbal, Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has ordered the taking over of Community Health Centre, Sumbal and its affiliated 14 health centres in the adjoining areas by SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar. This would end the dual control over the functioning of these health centres and improve their functioning with more expertise and equipment from the premier health institute of the State. The demand for ending the dual control over these institutions and handing them over to SKIMS had come from people during Chief Minister’s public grievances redressal programmes at Bandipora and Ganderbal on December 03 and 04 recently. A number of deputations at Bandipora and Ganderbal had sought ending the dual administrative control over these health institutions and handing over these to SKIMS for proper and efficient service delivery. The health institutions which the SKIMS would be taking over include, besides CHC, Sumbal, PHC, Trigam; NTPHCs, Nowgam, Asham and Odina; Unani Dispensary, Ganistan and Shadipora and Sub Centres at Panzinara, Dangerpora, Zalpora, Nesbal, Gadkhud, Ankhul, Shilwat and ChekGanistan.(KNO)
