Srinagar DEC 7 (KNO) : Doctors Association of Kashmir (DAK) along with representatives of J&K Doctors Coordination Committee today met Divisional Commissioner Kashmir who had invited the delegation for talks to discuss about our demands with regard to recent unruly behaviour of Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Zainapora with Consultant Surgeon at Community Health Centre (CHC) Zainapora few days back. He assured that nobody will be allowed to disrespect or interfere unnecessarily and acknowledged the hard work of doctors & paramedics keeping the ground realities into consideration. He also stressed for serving the public with zeal of which the delegation apprised that the health personnel are delivering the same against all odds and are in continuous efforts to enhance the health care services. The delegation had a half an hour meet with him wherein he assured  in strongest possible words regarding the demands put forth by the delegation. As the dynamics of health functioning was discussed threadbare particularly regarding undue interference of Revenue Officials he has invited the delegation to discuss the same in a comprehensive & detailed manner on 14th December 2017. The delegation also submitted complaint against revenue officials of Zainapora who tried to instigate public by uploading official documents on social media thereby misusing their official position and to scare the health personnel of said hospital. DAK & JKDCC has decided to defer proposed indefinite strike on the assurance of Hon'ble Health Minister Mr Bali Bhagat & Chief Secretary Mr B B Vyas & Divisional Commissioner Mr Baseer Khan. The associations appreciate the concern shown by authorities and also thanked Director Health Services, Kashmir also for acknowledging the grave issue. DAK & JKDDC while appealing doctors & paramedics to continue their work with passion & utmost dedication are hopeful that the assurances by the authorities will be fulfilled in a stipulated time so that we are not forced to resume state wide protest again.(KNO)
