Srinagar DEC 7 (KNO) : December 07: APHC chairman Syed Ali Geelani denounced United states plan to declare Jerusalem as the Israeli capital, saying despite its tall claims about democracy, they are following a bias and prejudicial policy against Muslim countries. Geelani stressed Muslim world to forge unity and asked to take practical steps against the sinister designs and conspiracies hatched by USA. He called valley wide protest on December 08 against the recent decision of Trump administration. Thursday, in a press release spokesman of the conglomerate, said that an extra ordinary meeting of executive council of Hurriyat Conference and Syed Ali Geelani in chair, was held at Hyderpora , in which all the constituent leaders including Mohd Shafi Shah , Peer Ab Rashid, Davinder Singh , Mr Qumi, Kh Firdous, Imtiyaz Ahmad Shah, Molvi Bashir Ahmad Irfani, Gh Mohd Nagu, Mohd Yusuf Naqash, Bilal Sidiqee, Feroz Ahmad Khan, Ab Hamid Ilahi, Gulshan Abas, Gh Ahmad Gulzar, Hakim Ab Rashid, Gh Nabi Sumji and Zamrooda Habib affiliated to Political League ,Tehreek-e-Huriyat, Social Peace Forum , Peirwan-e-Walayat, DPM, Freedom League, Mass Movement, Anjuman Shar-e-Shiyan, Islamic Political Party, Tehreek-e-Mazahmat, Muslim League, People’s League, Tehreek-e-Wahdat-e-Islami, Insaf Party, Muslim Democratic League, Muslim Conference and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Khawateen participated and thoroughly discussed and deliberated upon prevailing situations ,geopolitical changes ,conspiracies hatched against Muslim Ummah and recent developments related with freedom movement of Kashmir and the future strategy. “The various issue were discussed and after deliberations it was declared that while pursuing the freedom movement, they won’t succumb to any pressure and while extending full support to Syed Ali Geelani, the council hailed the stand and stance adopted by Huriyat chairman. Statement said that it was resolved in the meeting that Hurriyat Conference believe in peaceful resolution of all issues through meaningful dialogue, however it is the arrogance of Indian administration that has turned whole state into a graveyard and while strangulating genuine voices, the authorities are caging, innocents including students, youth and elderly and added that practically the puppets have created ‘’martial law ‘’ like situations in state. “The meeting reviewed the concept of future strategy, work plans and reinforcement into the amalgam and in its session declared that they are obliged to follow the mission of martyrs and will take movement to its logical end, saying negotiations under the shadow of gun are unacceptable and against the spirits of democratic norms. The constituent members also observed and clarified that both Kashmir and Palestine issue are of serious nature for Muslim world and OIC and appealing Muslim leaders for taking measures and serious notice for the resolutions, stressed to forge unity among its folds. Strongly criticising America for its anti-Muslim policies, denounced any proposal of declaring Jerusalem as the Israeli capital, said that it would trigger worldwide protests and opposition from Muslim community, saying Muslims all over the world must stand united against this major plot,” In meeting it was reiterated that conglomerate will organise a seminar on December 09 at its head quarter in Hyderpora and also decided to support protest rally organised by joint resistance leadership from Lal Chowk towards UN observers’ office at Srinagar where a memorandum will be handed over to UN representative. Taking strong notice of harassment of its constituent member Davinder Singh and his family by Bajrang Dal and VHP goons, the participants warned authorities, saying if any untoward happens to them, the local puppet rulers shall have to face consequences.(KNO)
