Dialogue constitutes beauty of politics, Don't defile it : Prof Gani Bhat

Senior separatist leader and former Chairman of erstwhile United All Parties Hurriyat Conference Professor Abdul Gani Bhat Thursday urged upon called upon India and Pakistan not to freeze in past and initiate purposeful dialogue to capture brighter tomorrow. Dialogue, he said constitutes the beauty of politics. 'Don't defile it'. Let India and Pakistan demonstrate a higher degree of understanding and resolve all disputes including, of course the dispute of Kashmir in the interests of peace and stability in South Asia. Bhat, who is also the President of Muslim Conference, was addressing a gathering at Kujar area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district. “We need to rise above historical ironies and stubbornness to build permanent peace across the region. Let good sense prevails and the leadership pools all the relevant resources to help promote a worthwhile political environment in the Sub-continent,” he said.
