A New Beginning was the theme of interaction session held today by Baramulla Police with the youth who have been benefited under Amnesty scheme with their FIRs and cases withdrawn by the government providing a big relief to them. Young boys whose cases were withdrawn, their parents and other citizens from Baramulla attended the function. There was a feeling of jubilation and alleviation among the youth who pledged to make a new beginning in their lives to contribute positively towards the development of healthy society. They expressed their gratitude to Chief Minister for relieving a great burden from their lives and providing them a chance to start afresh by removing the hassles of litigation and trials in the courts. On this occasion MLA Baramulla Javaid Hassan Beigh also thanked Chief Minister for taking this initiative in the interest of youth and peace. He said that the foundation of political struggle of CM is based on safety, security of development of youth of the state and welfare of youth is the priority of the state government. He advised the youngsters to take full advantage of Amnesty scheme and begin a new life as a peaceful citizen and not to indulge in violence that brings miseries and tribulations to their families and to the society in general. He also said that this initiative from CM is based on her continued endeavour to ensure peace and development in the state with focus on youth who are the most precious resources of the nation and thus need to be protected and groomed to achieve the success and happiness in their lives. DIG North Kashmir Vidhi Kumar Birdhi and SSP Baramulla Imtiyaz Hussain also spoke on the occasion and while congratulating the youth stressed upon them to contribute positively towards the lasting peace in the state. They also assured the youth total support from Police department in shaping up their careers and helping them out to secure gainful employment. They also asked them not to fall in the trap of vested interests who are out to ruin their lives while securing bright future for their own children. Parents and prominent citizens expressed their gratitude to CM for this noble gesture and assured their full support for peace and development of the state. (KNS)
