JAMMU & KASHMIR Altaf Bukhari grieved over Bagh-e-Mehtab fire incident | KNO Assures all possible help to fire sufferers Published 331 weeks ago on December 10, 2017 By KashmirNewsObserver SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 10 (KNO) : Minister for Education Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari has expressed heartfelt grief over the tragic fire incident at Check-e-Methan (Bagh-e-Mehtab), yesterday in which five residential and non residential structures were gutted. Bukhari directed the district administration Srinagar to provide all necessary assistance to the affected families so that they can resurrect themselves, adding the process may be expedited in view of the prevailing winter season. The Minister asked the district administration to ensure distribution of adequate ex-gratia compensation to the victims of this tragedy besides providing them all necessary relief and rehabilitation items through Red Cross at an earliest. He also asked the municipal authorities to facilitate immediate issuance of permissions for reconstruction of the residential houses so that the fire-hit families of Chek-e-Methan are able to cope up with the winter vagaries.
