Srinagar, December 11 (KNO) : Expressing deep sorrow over the killing and injuring peaceful and innocent protestors in Jerusalem, the Hurriyat Conference chairman Syed Ali Geelani today termed these killings as terrorism and beastly act. Geelani stressed unity among Muslim Ummah and added that after US Presidents move to announce Alqudus (Jerusalem) as the so-called capital of Israel, we urge the OIC to take strong note and act unitedly against this anti-Muslim move. Terming it “unjust, biased, anti-Islam and unrealistic decision” Geelani said that prevailing situation in Palestine is very painful and blamed Zionist forces for hatching conspiracies against Muslim Ummah for carrying their sinister designs of bloodshed in Muslim world. Geelani blamed west for backing Israel and said that this country is posing continuous threat for Muslim Ummah and promoting its plans to manufacture hazardous weapons, thus creating continuous threat and horrendous situation in territory. Referring to 57 Muslim countries, Geelani said that it is unfortunate that instead of rendering their services for Muslim Ummah, they are acting as puppets for west and promoting and facilitating their agenda. Lamenting at ruling class in Muslim countries, Geelani said that they are acting as mute spectator over genocide carried by west and instead purchases ammunition worth billions from these killers to supress and subjugate their innocent people. Allah has bestowed Muslim countries with enormous and rich resources for generating revenue and income, said Geelani saying, unfortunately these resources are being wasted over personnel luxuries for elite class. Geelani accused America for carrying killing spree in Muslim countries and said that despite their tall claim for being sole super power, has turned Muslim world into a battle ground. Blaming America for disturbances, bloodshed and terrorist activities in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq, Geelani added that other countries including Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and other Muslim countries are their next target. Commenting over UN role in Palestine, Geelani said that this organization has failed and follows agenda of America and added that, had OIC been active and followed effective strategies, Israel could not have carried its genocide in Palestine. Blaming ruling class in Muslim countries for their extravagance, Geelani said that they are living in an illusion and fail to comprehend that they too are not safe and sooner or later it may be their turn. Geelani impressed member countries of OIC to take concrete measures to improve this organisation and put halt over infighting among Muslim ummah. Geelani said that Muslims are involved in infighting over sectarian issues among Shia and Sunnis and added if we overcome this issue, we can definitely defeat devilish plans of Israel. Muslim Ummah is a one nation, said Geelani and stressed OIC to play its pivotal and key role in solving the problem of Palestinians and Kashmir dispute on priority basis.(KNO)
