Says dry weather to continue for next one week

With Valley including plains as well as higher reaches receiving fresh snowfall today, the weatherman here has predicted dry weather for the next one week. Director Meteorological (MeT) department, Sonum Lotus said that there would be gradual improvement in the weather conditions from tomorrow (Wednesday). “There was occasional sunshine today as well but the weather conditions would start gradually improving from Wednesday. The dry weather would continue for next one week as per the current prediction,” he said. Earlier, most of the places in the Valley including the plains today received fresh snowfall while the rains continued in Kashmir from the intervening night of Dec 09-Dec 10. The authorities have also made adequate arrangements in view of the winter. The Chief Minister had also directed all the concerned Departments like PDD, R&B, MED, ULB, PHE, Health and other Departments to gear up in view of the weather forecast and deploy their men and machinery on the ground beforehand.
