Jammu, Dec, 13 (KNO) : Peoples Democratic Party has hailed the decision regularising over sixty thousand Daily wagers, Casual Labour and workers on consolidated basis as “unprecedented” administrative measure from any government which will sufficiently contribute to Chief Minister’s resolve for good governance.
In a statement party vice president Mohammad Sartaj madni said that the resolution of this lurking issue brings relief to thousands of families and saves the career of workers who were faced with uncertainty and were hanging in wilderness from years together.
He said , besides amply mpowering the basic structure , the decision comes in as fulfilment of a major electoral promise made by Party Presdent Ms. Mehbooba Mufti. PDP has a reason to draw satisfaction from this as thousands of families have been lent well-deserved support and thousands of youth have been relieved of perpetual stress.
Madni said Mehboobaji and her Governmernt had to undergo a cumbersome exercise to clear or override legal and financial hurdles to resolve this complex and difficult issue. It was not an easy baggage to be jettisoned to the advantage of all stake holders and she did it ably. he added.
Madni said that is why Chief Minister is being widely appreciated for showing sympathy towards the workers and the labourers and the political will to streamline services at the lower rung. He said the casual employment of workers was seen a liability and a feature of misgovernance. The decision for regularisation is a big incentive which will benefit both the state as well as the employees.
He said each Department will now have a legitimate manpower , skilled and unskilled to do the grass root work and each workers potential will be utilised to improve the quality of the work and functioning of the service particularly the emergency services .
Madni said , Chief Minister has taken series of measures aimed at bringing relief to people and resolving complex issues of Governance and political nature. He hoped that her sincere efforts will bring the desired relief on all fronts and PDP’s agenda will see esired accomplishment with public support in tune withits established policies and commitments.(KNO)
