Srinagar, December 17 (KNO) : Kulgam police has apprehended culprits involved in the illegal abortion and saved a girl from being aborted.
Police Station Kulgam received an information that one person Ishtiyaq Ahmad Bhat son of Abdul Salam Bhat resident of Chakoo Shopian along with a pregnant girl have gone to house of Ghulam Hassan Shah resident of Malpora Mohalla Kulgam in order to illegally abort the pregnancy, where one lady (name withheld) perform such illegal abortions.
On receiving this information, Kulgam police along with magistrate raided the place. During search of the house Government supply medicines and surgical items required for the said purpose were recovered. The culprits involved were apprehended on the spot. A case FIR number 232/2017 under section 376, 312, 511RPC, 08 Nursing Act was registered and investigation was started.(KNO)
