SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 27 (KNO) : Director School Education Dr. G. N. Itoo today issued promotion and placement orders in favour of 117 headmasters who will be adjusted in different high schools across the valley. The Directorate said the initiative is the part of the continuous process of filling up of vacant posts of Headmasters of high schools and providing adequate teaching staff in schools so that the students do not have to face any difficulty during the upcoming academic session. The Directorate of School Education Kashmir also released the list of students belonging to BPL and Orphan categories who will be given free coaching and study material in registered private coaching centers of Valley. It is revealed that the decision was taken in a meeting recently held between the Director Education Kashmir and the owners of private coaching centers. The owners of private tuition centers were asked to reserve 10% quota for orphans and students belonging to BPL category for which the Directorate will be providing the list. The Directorate had received more than 800 applications from poor and BPL category students out of which 605 students have been recommended for coaching in the first phase after verification of the credentials. Earlier, Director School Education Kashmir vide No: 1647 DSEK of 2017 dated: 25/12/2017 issued orders of registration in favour of 28 private coaching centers that were found genuine and followed all the requisite norms laid down by the competent authority.(KNO)
