Pulwama: Clashes erupted in Karimabad village of South Kashmir's Pulwama district when Government Forces tried to lay a siege.
Reports said that Government Forces emerges in the village and tried to launch a search operation, however, locals in large numbers hit to roads and pelted stones on them
The locals disrupted the operation by resorting to massive stone pelting.
Eyewitness and reports said that Government Forces including Army and Special Operation Group personnel retreated from the village due to stiff resistance of the people.
A police official however said that search operation was called off after no contact with militants was established. He added that some youth pelted stones on the combined forces.
Yesterday, massive clashes were witnessed between Government Forces and locals during a search operation in Pinjora area of South Kashmir's Shopian district.
