Farmer Scientist Interaction Programme held in Doda | KNO

DODA , DEC 20 (KNO) : Two days farmers scientists interaction programme was organised by the department of Agriculture under ATMA scheme at Agriculture complex Doda here today . Scientist from Regional horticulture research station Bhaderwah and experts from the department of agriculture Doda interacted with farmers on various aspects related to agriculture,horticulture ,KCC and mushroom cultivation. Haroon Hussain AEO conducted the proceedings of programme and SDAO Pranoo Yogi Raj welcomed the participants and gave a brief about various schemes run by the department. Nasir Ahmed zargar DAO extension Doda while addressing the farmers spoke in length and threw a detailed light on the various projects of department. DR Neeraj Kotwal scientist RHRS Bhaderwah briefed the participants on the management of field crops and stressed upon the adoption of recommended agronomic practices for increasing the production and productivity. AEO Haroon Hussain briefed the participants about mushroom cultivation and advised the farmers to go for it as it can help them to increase their income. Agriculture implement kits were also distributed among the farmers.(KNO)
