The coordination committee of the PDP and BJP coalition partners is expected to meet on Saturday and discuss various issues relating to the functioning of the government in Jammu and Kashmir. The PDP vice president Sartaj Madni told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the coordination committee is scheduled to meet on Saturday wherein it will discuss the functioning of the PDP-BJP coalition in Jammu and Kashmir along with the major achievements and agendas of the present regime. Madni added that the coming budget session and government priorities are also on agenda of the scheduled meet. It was informed further that ahead of the coming budget session, the coordination committee of the ruling alliance in the state will meet on Saturday under the chairmanship of Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh. Reports inform that besides government’s priorities during the coming budget session, the meeting will deliberate upon the previous three visits of the GOI appointed envoy for JK, Dineshwar Sharma. The meet, as per sources, will also discuss the agendas of the government and recent decisions which include order related to government employees in which they were barred from speaking on political issues on social media, regularization of the daily wagers etc. The meeting will be attended by minister for Revenue, Parliamentary Affairs, Haj & Auqaf Abdul Rahman Veeri, Members of Parliament Jugal Kishore, Thupstan Chewang and Shamsher Singh Manhas, besides Sartaj Madni, Dillawar Mir and Trilok Singh Bajwa of the PDP and Narinder Singh of the BJP. The 10-member coordination committee of the PDP and BJP was tasked to ensure that the AoA is implemented within the defined time-frame and all the policy issues adhered to in letter and spirit. The committee, which was tasked to meet at least once a month or on a need basis, had met earlier on November 21, this year.
