89 flood-affected Kupwara families provided compensation : Javaid Mustafa | KNO

JAMMU, JAN 03 (KNO) : Minister for Relief and Rehabilitation Javaid Mustafa Mir today informed the Legislative Assembly that the government has provided Rs 48.33 lakh compensation to 89 affected families of Kupwara constituency whose houses were damaged during September 2014 floods. Responding to a question raised by MLA Advocate Bashir Ahmad Dar, the Minister said compensation was provided for 87 partially damaged Pacca houses, one each fully damaged Pacca and Kaccha houses, under PMNRF, PMDP and SDRF. The Minister further informed the house that in 2014, the government also provided an amount of Rs 5.15 lakh to 13 fire victim families, Rs 1.15 lakh to 12 fire victims in 2015 and Rs 4.12 lakh to 6 fire victim families in 2016-17 in Kupwara constituency.(KNO)
