SSP Doda Inaugurates Drug Counseling centre at Bhadarwah | KNO

BHADERWAH,JAN 04 (KNO) : In continuation to drive against the menace of the drugs launched by Jammu and Kashmir Police, Doda Police organized an awareness programme on drug abuse at community hall Bhaderwah sub district here today . Large number of youth of Bhaderwah town and its adjoining areas participated in this awareness campaign. SSP Doda, Mohammad Shabir, Addl.SP Bhaderwah,Rajinder Singh,DFO Bhaderwah Vivek Verma,Tehsildar Bhaderwah, Masood Ahmed, BDO Bhaderwah,Dr Mohd Ashraf,SDPO Bhaderwah Brijesh Sharma,BMO Bhaderwah Dr.Youdhvir Singh,Inspr Muneer Ahmed SHO Bhaderwah, Drug counselor , Baljeet Singh and officers from Army and CRPF 33Bn were present on the occasion.During programme Drug counsellor, Baljeet Singh from Police Deptt, Tehsildar Bhadarwah, BMO Bhaderwah, SDPO Bhaderwah, Addl. SP Bhaderwah and SSP Doda addressed the participants about drug addiction and its effects on health as well as on society. They imp-arted awareness about the drugs and its harmful effects in the life and to keep them away from drug abuse.The youth of Bhaderwah were made aware about the drug menace prevailing in the society and the consequences there of. They were advised to stay away from drugs.They were also advised if they see any person selling or consuming drugs they should approach nearest police for the same. They also urged upon the participants to co-operate and strengthen the hands of Police for curbing this menace.Drug addiction is a disease and must be treated like we treat other diseases.We are playing our role but we need collective efforts from Parents, Teachers, Social organizations, NGOs, Religious organizations and society at large. During programme Brochure containing pictures and information about Drug abuse were distributed among the participants. SSP Doda also Inaugurate the Drug Counseling centre at Bhadarwah Police complex.SSP also released pump lets published by Doda Police for awareness about drug abuse . At the end of programme participants thanked Doda Police for organizing such programme.(KNO)
