Shaheed Afzal Guru Squad carried out the attack’

Militant outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad today claimed responsibility for an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Sopore town on government forces in which four personnel have been killed. In a statement issued Jaish-e-Mohammad spokesperson claimed that they have attacked the forces party in Sopore. “The Shaheed Afzal Guru squad carried out the attack,” he said. The spokesperson said five forces men have been killed and several others received injuries in the attack. The attack came on the day when the apple town is observing a complete shutdown to mark the death anniversary of 1993 massacre amid security arrangements in the area. (GNS)
