Srinagar Jan 06 (KNO) : While addressing a huge gathering at Mokhama, Beerwa Budgam, the Muslim Conference President Professor Abdul Gani Butt expressed deep concern over dangerously negative American attitude in regard to Pakistan in South Asia. The attitudes smacks of retribution, which will in all probability, said the Professor destabilize the entire region. The Americans and the Indians in Afghanistan and the Chinese in Pakistan, un-mistakably places a huge responsibilities on all strong shoulders to shun brow-beating or intransigence. India and Pakistan are already caught up in a situation on Kashmir dispute. The American should, rather do the reconciliation and balancing and shuns ‘arm-twisting’ methodology. Kashmir and Afghanistan, the Professor feels, seem to be intertwined as a consequence of the involvement of Americas as well as the Indians and then, at the same time, the Chinese involvement in Pakistan requires that no intransigence is taken recourse to. Let the powerful take the responsibility to help resolve all disputes in the interests of peace and stability.(KNO)
