Srinagar Jan 8 (KNO) : Describing Congress Party as strong and vibrant situation in the State, capable enough to defeat fascist, communal forces in the country, J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir today said that Congress Party has never compromised on it’s ideology, principles for the sake of power. G.A.Mir further said that Congress Party will remain committed to the cause of strengthening people and working for the peace, progress and overall development of the State. Addressing a daylong political convention of Office Bearers and Prominent Workers of District Congress Committee Anantnag today, G.A. Mir said that the Congress alone stands guarantee to secular fabric, diversity and unity in the Country, will remain committed to fight and defeat the fascist, communal forces posing threat to secular fabric of the country, which is in great danger under BJP RSS rule in the Country. G.A. Mir urged upon the Party cadres to fight against communal and fascist forces hell bent upon to damage secular fabric in the State, Country for the sake of remaining in power, which is evident from the PDP joining RSS for the sake of power, but at the sametime, Mir felt confident that people have realized that it is the Congress Party, which has never sacrificed its ideology for power, rather it always preferred to remain out of power. We stand guarantee to peace, progress and development will continue to fight against discrimination which is at peak in the State under PDP BJP Rule, but despite the highhandedness and discrimination by the Ruling Parties they will never succeed to stop people from raising their heads against the wrong policies of the Govt. He said Jammu and Kashmir was a symbol of Unity and Multiplicity, but since the PDP BJP assumed power, the things started worsening and attempts were made to pollute secular fabric and unity in the State, but the people of the State being wise enough realized that conspiracies that were being hatched to divide people on regional lines, he felt confident that people in all the three regions will continue to peace, progress and development. He cautioned the people about the divisive politics of BJP RSS hell bent upon to divide people with full support of it’s main ally PDP to remain in power to remain in power, as that, both PDP BJP have exploited people on various sensitive issues concerning State. G.A. Mir urged upon the Party Workers to strengthen the Congress Party more saying that people of the State have expectations from Congress, as that it is the Congress Party alone which is capable enough to address all the issues concerning people. Addressing the gathering MLA Shangus Gulzar Ahmad urged upon the Party cadres to remain steadfast to serve and highlight the issues concerning people. He said people have suffered immensely due to wrong policies adopted by the Govt. Among others who addressed the gathering included Gh. Mohd Mir, Mohd Iqbal Mir, Irfan Ahmad Bhat, Iqbal Ahanger, Block Presidents and others.(KNO)
