National Conference leader Mr Ajaz Jan today lashed out at PDP-BJP coalition for anti-poor policies, saying time has come when the people will give them a befitting lesson. “Mis-governance and developmental paralysis has taken the state backwards and the people were having brunt on all fronts”, Mr Jan said while addressing workers meeting in Poonch this afternoon. He said lack of political will has hugely impacted the utility services which has resulted in erratic power and drinking water supply. He said rations are scarcely available at the PDS sale outlets and the rationees were made to suffer. He expressed concern over enhanced rates of essentials and said the ration scale too had been downgraded. This is yet another assault on the poor who are already suffering due to inflation, he added Mr Jan urged the people to gear up for upcoming panchayat elections and show the coalition partners their right place through their power of ballot. Meeting was attended by NC workers and functionaries from from across Poonch wherein the organizational matters were discussed.. The workers expressed anguish over several key developmental projects having been abandoned by the present dispensation. These projects had been take up be the previous government per by National Conference. Mr Jan said the issue will be taken up at appropriate level as these projects were of vital public importance.
