Jammu 09 Jan 2018 (KNO) : To press for construction tunnel for Karnah and Gurez, AIP Supremo and MLA Langate Er. Rasheed today lodged a strong protest inside and outside Assembly and reiterated his stand that if India cannot give a tunnel to the people of border areas then it must allow the population to migrate to other side of LOC. Er. Rasheed said “While people on the other side of LOC in Pak Administered Kashmir are enjoying every basic amenity, people on this side of LOC are forced to live in stone age and their lives have become a hell. Every year people continue to die and successive governments make huge promises but do nothing to end the sufferings of people of Gurez and Karnah”. He while expressing solidarity and sympathy with people of Karnah, who have been protesting since last three days for construction of tunnel at Sadhna, appealed Govt. to fulfill their long pending genuine demand to save human lives. Er. Rasheed was marshaled out from the Assembly when he raised the issue of Bandipora youth who were booked for allegedly singing Pakistani anthem during a cricket match. Arguing in the well of house Er. Rasheed said that if youth have sung Pakistani anthem, it is failure of the govt. at state, centre, policy makers and those calling themselves main stream politicians. While arguing hard with PDP and BJP MLA’s Er. Rasheed said that since New Delhi has failed to take any concrete initiative to resolve Kashmir dispute and the leaders from both main stream and separatist camp have failed to deliver, as such the youth after losing faith in everyone see no resolution to Kashmir dispute through the current characters. Er. Rasheed told house that when voice of people like Geelani is not heard and same harsh, time buying and rude behavior is being adopted by the centre the outcome is that even well read scholars like Manan wani find no option but to take to arms. Er. Rasheed added that Manan Wani’s joining militancy is defeat of operation all out. Er. Rasheed reminded Mehbooba Mufti who was in the house that she herself even used green dress to give people a notion that she loves Pakistan and if Bandipora cricket players have done something similar whet is their fault. However amid heated arguments Er. Rasheed was marshaled out from the assembly.(KNO)
